The signature drink… I’ve had this topic on my mind for a while, and trust me, later this year you’ll be seeing a post all about fun do’s and don’ts for signature drinks, but when I saw this recipe from Martha Stewart I knew I just had to pull it out of the Martha Stewart Weddings archive (it’s from 1999! ah!) and share it with all you Event Crashers!
Let’s start with the ingredients: ice cubes, 2 ounces of your favorite whiskey, 1 tablespoon of Lavender Sour Syrup, and some fresh lavender sprigs for a garnish.
It’s amazingly easy to make, too. First fill an 8 ounce glass with ice and pour in the whiskey. Fill in the glass with the lavender syrup and stir to combine. Pop in the sprig for garnish and serve immediately.
This cocktail, if served as a signature drink, could easily and quickly be created by bartenders so the bar line stays down and guests remain extremely happy.
What about you? Did you have a signature drink at your wedding?
